Our round dies with tungsten carbide core meet common wire drawing requirements from 0.10 to 30 mm in diameter.

Mounting devices can be made of steel, aluminium or brass.

Properties of tungsten carbide dies

Tungsten carbide is a particularly dense metal with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale.

Obtained by sintering, it is characterized by its very high resistance to wear, compression and high temperatures.

Our dies for steel cords

ADC is the market leader in dies for tyre cords. These brass-plated steel wires, wound and then assembled into strands, are essential for reinforcing the tyre’s carcass and enabling the tyre to grip the road.

In our bill of materials, the 7×4, 9×6 and 10×8 types are particularly recommended for the fine wires of steel cords, with holes from 0.15 to 2 mm.
